Gifts in Kind

Please consider donating personal care items and household goods to the Sixth Street Shelter

Your donation of a gift-in-kind means that our residents receive personal necessities, which in turn enables them to save money and work towards self-sufficiency. Limited storage space at the Shelter compels us to be selective about the items we can accept from the community. Please call ahead if you are unsure if your donation can be accepted.

We Accept NEW ONLY:

  • Shampoo, soap, lotion, toothpaste, mouthwash and other toiletries
  • Diapers (especially size 5), baby wipes, baby shampoo and other baby care items
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, bleach-free cleaners and cleaning supplies
  • Mops, brooms, dustpans, tall kitchen trash cans and 13 gal. trash can liners
  • Non-perishable food
  • Towels, twin sheet sets, pillows, blankets or comforters

We Also Accept New or Gently Used:

  • Microwaveable dishware
  • Plates, bowls, cups, glasses
